Serbia's Novak Djokovic and Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas became the first set of players to book their places in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Paris Olympics men's singles event.

The Serb overcame Germany's Dominik Koepfer in the third-round battle on Wednesday, July 31. He overcame a rough start to win the first set with two break points on Koepfer's serve.
He took hold of the second set early by racing to a 3-0 lead with one break-point conversion, which proved enough as he served out the rest of the games to complete a 7-5, 6-3 win in an hour and 37 minutes.
Tsitsipas, on the other hand, defeated Argentina's Sebastian Baez 7-5, 6-1 in their third-round match. The first set saw the player go back and forth as Baez won two break points, however, the Greek managed to win one extra and took the lead.
Tsitsipas blew the Argentinian away in the second set by breaking his serve twice and secured the victory.
