Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian recently shared an adorable picture with their daughter Olympia at Athlos NYC. Williams and Ohanian got married in 2017 and welcomed Olympia the same year. They had a second child in 2023.

The Reddit co-founder is a staunch advocate of women's sports. He has made his support for women in sports clear on many occasions such as when sporting a jacket that says 'Invest in women's sports' and while tweeting about women's sports. He had also invested in the NWSL franchise, Angel City FC.

More recently, he founded Athlos NYC, a women-only track event. Six events were conducted, with the winner taking home $60,000 prize money. The high-profile event saw Olympians such as Gabby Thomas, Faith Kipyegon, Marileidy Paulino, Marie-Josee Ta Lou-Smith, and many others compete for the ultimate prize.

Ohanian shared many updates throughout the night, with one being an adorable picture of him with his daughter Olympia.

"See it, be it, little girl. @athlos NY 2024 📸 Olympia's grandpa," Ohanian captioned the post.

Recently, he also shared that Olympia requested to race on the track at the end of the event.

“She runs NY. Olympia had such a good time she asked to run the track at the end and I had to oblige. We gifted dozens of NY track youth tickets to this event because these kids deserve to be part of history - if they can see a professional path, everything changes," he wrote.

Talking about Athlos NYC, Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian heaped praise on women athletes' ability to draw engagement. While in conversation with Reuters, he said:

"You just look at the follower counts, you look at the engagement. Women athletes - and in this example, with track - just are way more compelling," Ohanian said.

The 41-year-old said that he had a sixth sense for detecting hyper-engaged communities of fans.

"I have a 'spidey sense' for where there are hyper-engaged communities of fans and women's sports has them in droves," he said.

He also talked about increasing the prize money for the event.

"I asked these women, I was like, 'Hey, so what is your top prize at the end of a season for winning?' And they said $30,000. And I said, 'Great, I'm going to double it for one single race'," he added.

Serena Williams retired from tennis after the 2022 US Open, having won 23 Grand Slam titles during a storied career.
