World number one Rafael Nadal will return to Miami for playing the ATP 1000 Masters – Sony Open Tennis tournament, scheduled to be held in March, 2014.
Nadal, who missed the event last year, said: “I was very disappointed that I was not able to attend last year’s tournament and am looking forward to returning in 2014. I love to play in Miami because of its beautiful location and tremendous fans support.
“Miami is an international city, and the diverse crowds that attend the tournament create an unbelievable atmosphere. I am excited to see all my fans in Miami this year.”
The 26-year-old Spaniard is currently gearing up for the approaching Australian Open 2014, where he will be one of the zenith contenders to lift the men’s singles title, slated to be held in January next year.
