#3 Most title-winning seasons
Nadal also equalled his long-time rival Federer's feat of reaching 50 Masters 1000 finals by beating his conqueror from the Madrid Masters, Stefanos Tsitsipas at the 2019 Rome Masters to reach his own 50th final.
Like Federer, Nadal celebrated the occasion by winning the title, a three-set win over Djokovic meant that the Spaniard broke a tie with the Serb to win a record 34th Masters 1000 title.
In the process, Nadal became the first player to win a Masters 1000 title in 14 different seasons, since winning his first title in the tournament category at the 2005 Monte Carlo Masters.
#4 Most consecutive title-winning seasons
In what seemed like a lopsided final at the 2014 Madrid Masters, defending champion Nadal was down a set and a break against Kei Nishikori.
But in a remarkable turnaround of sorts, aided in part by a Nishikori injury which affected his level of play, Nadal fought back to restore parity at a set apiece and surged ahead by 3 games in the decider before the Japanese called it quits.
In the process, the Spaniard won a Masters 1000 title for the 10th consecutive season, since winning his first at 2005 Monte Carlo.
#5 Most titles at a tournament
After becoming the first player in the Open Era to win 10 titles at a tournament when he did so at the 2017 Monte Carlo Masters, Nadal returned to the Principality for a successful title defence.
It made the Spaniard the first player to win 11 Masters 1000 tournaments, or for that matter at any tournament, a record he would improve upon a year later by lifting a staggering 12th Roland Garros title.
#6 Most consecutive titles at a tournament
After losing to Guillermo Coria in the third round of the 2003 Monte Carlo Masters on his Masters 1000 debut, Nadal avenged his defeat to the Argentine in 2005 by winning his first title in the Principality.
That win kickstarted a run of eight consecutive title runs at the tournament for the Spaniard who completed the stunning feat at the tournament in 2012 by beating Djokovic in the final. It is a record for most consecutive titles at a Masters 1000 tournament.
A year later, though, Nadal's run at a ninth consecutive title were ended by the Serb in the 2013 title match.
