If you thought Roger Federer was the only player who could produce magic on a tennis court, think again.
Recently crowned nine-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal hasn't completely come out of his clay feet, as he dropped the first set against Martin Klizan in the first round of Wimbledon 2014 yesterday. But he roared back to win the next three sets with a ferocious display of power tennis, and in the process put together two jaw-dropping points that left everyone gasping.
The frictionless turn at the All-England Club caused Nadal to slip during a point in the fourth set. For any other player, the point would have been over right then. But the Spaniard miraculously managed to get his racquet on the ball and nudge it over the net. Not only that, Nadal then got right back up and struck a perfectly timed lob over Klizan’s head to win the point, much to the crowd’s astonishment.

That wasn’t the only brilliant point played by Nadal in the match though. In the second set he faced a similar situation, as he slipped on to the court after being stretched wide on his backhand side. But in next to no time he was back on his feet and scurrying over to the other corner of the court, eventually winning the point with a backhand passing shot.

Lukas Rosol, you can rest assured that this time when you play against Nadal in the Wimbledon second round, the match won't ‘slip’ away from Nadal's grasp.
