Rafael Nadal’s list of accomplishments continues to mount, as he has become the latest entrant to join the elusive 700 wins club. The Spaniard reached the milestone when he defeated Martin Klizan of Slovakia 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 in the Wimbledon first round yesterday. He is the 11th player in the history of tennis to reach this number.
Nadal, who last won his 9th French Open title earlier this month, has won total of 14 Grand Slams and stands joint second in the all-time list along with American Pete Sampras. He has also won total of 64 ATP titles in his career, sharing the sixth position with Sampras and Swede legend Bjorn Borg.
Jimmy Connors, winner of 8 Grand Slams, currently heads the list for most career match wins and career titles, followed by Czech legend Ivan Lendl.
