The 2024 Paris Olympics are underway, with the world's biggest tennis stars taking part in the sporting extravaganza. In addition to the action on the court, players have also paid particular attention to what they wear in Paris.

Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek, Rafael Nadal, Coco Gauff, and Carlos Alcaraz are just a few of the big-name tennis players participating at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Many of them are representing their nations for the first time at the Summer Games, and their outfits have been a standout feature in their campaigns. But that's not the case for everyone.

With that said, let's take a look at the best and worst tennis outfits at the 2024 Paris Olympics:

#5 Viktorija Golubic

Viktorija Golubic is one of two tennis players representing Switzerland at the Paris Olympics. Golubic, a doubles silver medalist at Tokyo 2020, only signed up to play singles in the French capital and faced fifth seed Jessica Pegula of the USA. The American did well to stave off Golubic's challenge and emerged victorious 6-3, 6-4.

While Viktorija Golubic's performance might not have been up to the mark, her outfit definitely was. The 31-year-old donned an Asics-designed red top and white skirt in line with the colours of the Swiss flag. What made the outfit stand out was the white lining running through the top and on the side, which gave an impression of the Swiss Alps and a spruce tree.

#4 Casper Ruud

Norwegian No. 1 Casper Ruud, the lone tennis entrant from his nation, is making his Olympic debut in Paris and made the perfect start to his campaign. He faced Taro Daniel in the first round and had little trouble dispatching the Japanese player in straight sets 7-5, 6-1. The former World No. 2 will now face Andrea Vavassori in the second round.

Before his match against Vavassori, the only change Ruud needs to make is his kit. The 25-year-old missed the mark with his red t-shirt and white shorts outfit, which he wore during the opening round. The Yonex-designed outfit lacked the all-important dash of blue, and made it look more apt for a player from Denmark than Norway.

#3 Nicolas Jarry

Nicolas Jarry is one of three Chilean tennis players competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He was seeded 16th in the men's singles draw and faced Alexei Popyrin of Australia in the first round. Jarry was expected to perform well on clay after reaching his maiden Masters 1000 final at the 2024 Italian Open. But that was not the case as Popyrin ousted him from the tournament 6-4, 7-6 (5).

Nicolas Jarry's outfit was a saving grace for him in his first-round singles match. His red T-shirt, blue shorts, white cap, and wrist band perfectly complemented the Chilean flag, highlighting all three colours. Fans will get another chance to see the Wilson-made outfit as Jarry is also competing in the doubles category alongside Alejandro Tabilo.

#2 Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz is arguably among the most recognizable athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The reigning French Open and Wimbledon champion kicked-off his singles and doubles campaign without a hiccup in the opening rounds and is on his way to finishing on the podium. It all seems to be going very well for the Spaniard, except for his kit.

Alcaraz wore a red T-shirt and yellow shorts during his singles first-round match against Hady Habib of Lebanon. The combination was unimpressive, to say the least. While the color combination was in line with the Spanish flag colours, the outfit itself proved to be an underwhelming choice for the brightest talent in the sport due to its lack of design and imagination.

#1 Coco Gauff

From being the female flag-bearer for the USA during the opening ceremony to her debut to competing in all three formats, the 2024 Paris Olympics are shaping up to be the biggest moment of Coco Gauff's career so far. She began her singles campaign against Ajla Tomljanovic and swept aside the Australian in straight sets 6-3, 6-0. The American prodigy was dressed on point for the occasion.

Coco Gauff looked on top of her fashion game in a New Balace-designed slightly cropped tank top and a pleated skirt with a red and blue gradient design. The World No. 2 topped her outfit off with blue head and wrist bands and a white bow in her hair.
