LORD AND MASTER

The Swiss maestro returned to the pole position in the ATP rankings, after a two-year absence, following his 7th Wimbledon title – a record he shares with Pete Samprass and William Renshaw.

He also becomes the second oldest man to hold the numero uno spot after Andre Agassi.

Federer holds a 75-point lead over World No.2 Novak Djokovic and is guaranteed to hold the top ranking heading into the London Olympics.

Federer first took the World No.1 spot in February 2004 and held it until August 2008.

He reclaimed it in July 2009 before being deposed by Rafael Nadal after the 2010 French Open.
