Jannik Sinner vs Benjamin Bonzi preview
World No. 17 Jannik Sinner will take on Benjamin Bonzi in the first round of the ABN AMRO Rotterdam Open on Tuesday.
Sinner has been one of the most consistent players on the ATP tour for the last year-and-a-half. Since his quarterfinal exit at the US Open, the Italian has chalked up 14 wins from 20 matches and a title-winning run most recently at the Open Su De France. He also reached the fourth round of the Australian Open, but couldn't outlast Stefanos Tsitsipas in a five-set bout.
However, the 21-year-old will be high on confidence after capturing his first title of the year in Montpellier. He defeated the likes of Lorenzo Sonego and Arthur Fils en route to the final and then outclassed Maxime Cressy in straight sets 7-6, 6-3 to win the ATP 250 event.
Benjamin Bonzi, on the other hand, has put in the hard yards to find his best form in the last few months. The Frenchman has amassed eight wins from 20 matches and a runner-up finish at the Maharashtra Open in Pune.
He also reached the third round of the Australian Open, but couldn't fend off local favorite Alex De Minuar.
The 26-year-old will be entering the Rotterdam Open on the back of a round-robin loss in the Davis Cup qualifiers and a first-round exit at the Open Su de France. Italian tennis player Lorenzo Sonego outclassed him in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 in Montpellier.

Jannik Sinner vs Benjamin Bonzi prediction
The tennis focus will now shift towards the Rotterdam Open as we near the beginning of the clay court season swing. Both players have made a good start to the new season and look determined to compete for the biggest prizes at the highest level.
Sinner will be entering the Rotterdam Open high on confidence after capturing the Open Sud de France. Bonzi will be eager to make a statement after his early exit in the same event in Montpellier.
The Italian continues to display his clean, accurate, and effortless brand of tennis on the ATP tour and is only getting better with time passing by. He'll be looking to make the necessary adjustments to further improve his game and keep his winning streak intact in Rotterdam.
Bonzi will need to find a way to be creative and get the Italian out of his comfort zone. The Frenchman has an efficient serve and a powerful forehand but lacks the ability to unleash the winner in long rallies. He needs to be a bit more patient and make it count when the opportunity arises.
The 26-year-old awaits a stiff challenge in the first round in Rotterdam, squaring off against one of the most consistent players on the ATP tour. If he starts well, he could look to dig deep and grind out a tough win against Sinner. But the Italian should most likely be able to follow up his title-winning run in Montpellier with another win in the first round.
