Pegula has a pedigree for playing on grass. The American was the fourth seed at Wimbledon last year and she made it to the quarter-finals. She lost an intensely fought three-setter against the eventual champion Marketa Vondrousova.
Krunic has been on the tour since 2008 but has only one title in her career. Her only WTA title came at the 2018 Libema Open, where she defeated Kirsten Flipkens to capture the title.
