Sabine Lisicki pulled off a spectacular win in her semi-final match against Agnieszka Radwanska as she fought her way past the fourth seeded Polish to book a spot in the Wimbledon final against Marion Bartoli.
The first set started off on an even keel as the duo went through the first six games on serve before Lisicki broke Radwanska on her fourth break point, and then comfortably served out the first set 6-4.
The second set saw Radwanska shift gears as she slipped her game into hyperdrive mode pushing Lisicki back right from the word go. She raced to a 3-1 lead breaking her opponents serve twice before Lisicki pulled back a break off her own. However, her Polish opponent showed her no mercy as she broke back immediately and then raced off to take the second set 6-2.
The third set witnessed Lisicki break Radwanska twice before the Pole pulled off a break of her own. However, Lisicki held her nerve and her serve to finally wrap up the set and match with a forehand winner down the line to win a cliff-hanger of a deciding set at 9-7.
Lisicki will now face Marion Bartoli of France, who strolled past Belgian Kirsten Flipkens 6-1 6-2, to reach her second Wimbledon final.
