Dubbed the ‘god of cricket’ by Indians and fans worldwide, Sachin Tendulkar is known to be a close friend of Swiss Maestro Roger Federer. The Little Master was given a special invitation to the International Premier Tennis League fixture between Federer and arch-nemesis Rafael Nadal.
The International Premier Tennis League 2015 will start on the 2nd of December, and showcases the best tennis talent from all over the world. The Indian leg of the IPTL commences on the 10th of December in the capital.
Season 2 is expected to bring much more excitement and fun to the sport; the league brings together some of the greatest names in tennis, pitted against each other in a battle of the best.
Federer, Nadal, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, Former No. 1s Maria Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic are among the names involved in the league, and with Sachin Tendulkar the frenzy will be at a fever pitch.
Tendulkar has been specially invited by Siddesh Sharma, co-owner of the Indian Aces, for the much-awaited ‘Fedal’ clash.

There have been changes in this year’s teams, with Roger Federer leading the UAE Royals and the Indian Aces being taken over by Nadal, who was forced to sit out the first season of the league due to injury.
Indian tennis stars Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna will continue with the Indian Aces, while Serbian former World No. 1 Ana Ivanovic moves to the UAE Royals.The much awaited ‘Fedal’ night is set for the 12th of December.
Japan Warriors, the newest entrant to the league, will be led by Japanese ace Kei Nishikori assisted ably by Grand Slam winners Maria Sharapova and Leander Paes.
A lot of excitement awaits us this season as Sachin is all set to cheer for tennis this season.
