Vinci, seeded second, defeated Serbian Ana Ivanovic 7-5, 6-4 in an hour and 18 minutes.
World No.16 Vinci, 32 years old, has never played against her 18-year-old Swiss opponent, World No.11.
The Italian player seeks to win her 10th title while her Swiss rival wants to get her third trophy.
