Fourth seed Taylor Fritz will keep his campaign to win his maiden Major title when he takes on Cristian Garin in the second round. Fritz started the 2025 season on a great note, as he was a central figure in Team USA's victorious run at the 2025 United Cup. He won his matches against Borna Coric, Zhang Zhizhen, Tomas Machac, and Hubert Hurkacz.

Fritz started with a dominant 6-2, 6-0, 6-3 win over compatriot Jenson Brooksby in the first round at the Australian Open.
