Townsend has won seven doubles titles till date, including the 2023 Cincinnati Masters. She registered her best major doubles result at the 2024 Wimbledon, where she won the title alongside Katerina Siniakova.

Taylor Townsend started the 2024 season by winning the Adelaide title with her partner Beatriz Haddad Maia. She then went on to win Wimbledon with Katerina Siniakova, and also captured her seventh doubles trophy by winning the Washington Open alongside Asia Muhammad.

Townsend and Donald Young advanced to the mixed doubles final of the 2024 US Open, where they were defeated 7-6, 7-5 by Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori. Townsend made it to her first 2024 WTA Finals championship match alongside Katerina Siniakova. However, she fell to Gabriela Dabrowski and Erin Routliffe in the final.
