Carlos Alcaraz partakes in his physiotherapist Fran Rubio’s wedding festivities

Carlos Alcaraz donned a tuxedo for the wedding of his close friend and physiotherapist Fran Rubio and the latter's partner Cristina Plaza.

After the ceremony wrapped up, Rubio and Plaza hit the dance floor, with Alcaraz joining in and twirling a napkin above his head. The four-time Grand Slam champion also posed for pictures with Rubio and other attendees.

Carlos Alcaraz recently led Spain to the quarterfinals of the 2024 Davis Cup Finals, with his 6-3, 6-3 win over France's Ugo Humbert. The Spanish tennis star will now participate in the Laver Cup in Berlin as a part of Team Europe. It will be his debut in the tournament.


Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian reacts to Angel City FC's Alyssa Thompson’s praise for Christen Press’ support

Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian expressed his joy at Angel City FC star Alyssa Thompson’s recognition of teammate Christen Press for her exceptional mentorship.

Press has been delivering dynamic performances recently, including scoring her first two goals of the season in a 2-1 win over the San Diego Wave. In August 2024, the Angel City FC forward was recognized for the first time in the NWSL Team of the Month.

In a conversation with ION, Thompson commended Press for her crucial role as both a mentor and teammate.

"I think Christen Press has been a huge help for me this season," Thompson said. "She is really kind of taking me under her wing and just has been an amazing teammate and a mentor. I think her...just like...her energy has really helped me and I think that's helped me alot like coming into these few games."

Ohanian, in turn, praised the strong sense of camaraderie between the players.

"Things we love to see," Ohanian wrote on X.

Former World No. 1 Boris Becker and his girlfriend Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro tied the knot in Italy after dating for two years.

Lilian, a political risk manager, began her relationship with the six-time Grand Slam champion in 2022, standing by his side during his legal troubles that year. when he was sentenced to prison for concealing assets during his bankruptcy. On September 14, they formalized their relationship with a three-day wedding celebration.

This marks the German’s third marriage, having previously been married to German actress Barbara Feltus (1993-2001) and Dutch model Sharlely Kerssenberg (2009-2018).

Novak Djokovic took photos with young fans after leading Serbia to victory over Greece in the 2024 Davis Cup World Group 1. The Serbian tennis icon also had a heartwarming interaction with a child in a wheelchair, where he signed a tennis ball, posed for a picture, and gifted the child his jacket.

Serbia secured a 3-1 win over Greece to qualify for the 2025 Davis Cup qualifiers. The tie began with Miomir Kecmanovic's dominant 6-3, 6-3 win against Aristotelis Thanos, followed by Djokovic's commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory over Ioannis Xilas. Djokovic then teamed up with Hamad Medjedovic to defeat Thanos and Petros Tsitsipas 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the doubles match.

In the final match, Dusan Lajovic was forced to retire after winning the first set against Demetris Azoides, giving Greece their sole point.
