Iga Swiatek was targetted by harsh comments during a podcast
World No. 2 Iga Swiatek was at the receiving end of some harsh comments by Chris Hasek-Watt. The podcaster claimed that Swiatek was 'unlikeable' during one of his shows.
During a recent episode of one of his podcasts, 'Love Means Nothing', Hasek-Watt suggested that there was nothing likable about Swiatek. He further suggested that tennis fans like Jannik Sinner more because the Italian is a more likable character.
“I’m just gonna say it, there’s nothing likeable about Iga Swiatek and I think a lot of people that were protecting [Jannik] Sinner aren’t speaking out to protect Swiatek because people don’t like her. People like Sinner. He’s a good guy,” Hasek-Watt said.
Emma Raducanu opens up about her 'frustrating' US Open win
Emma Raducanu opened up about her US Open win as a 19-year-old and how that has shaped her career. The Brit star has struggled with form and injuries and has yet to win a single trophy since then.
Speaking to LTA National Tennis Center, Raducanu claimed that the Grand Slam title was a dream for her, however, winning one at such an early stage of her career left her feeling uncertain about what next.
“Initially when I first started, before I won the US Open, my main reason was: ‘I want to win a grand slam’. And that happened so young. I’m so grateful for it. But as soon as that happens, I’m like, ‘OK, well what now? I want to win another grand slam’. It’s just not sustainable," Raducanu said.
