Iga Swiatek slams Polish media for spreading misinformation about her mental health

Iga Swiatek tore into the Polish media after they wrote about her mental health due to the doping controversy. Some Polish reports suggested that the World No. 2 was dealing with depression and other mental disorders amid the doping row.

However, Swiatek has slammed the Polish media for their coverage of the doping row. The former World No. 1 said that while her break during the doping controversy was a tough time, she managed to cope with it. However, she talked about having a tough time with the Polish media.

"I think, honestly, now I had the toughest situation with media and how they approached me in Poland because abroad, like, there was nothing. I didn't play China swing this year, obviously because of my case, now everybody knows that, but before, they didn't...abroad, nobody said a word about it. Like, it was fine for them that I maybe took time off. But in Poland, it got crazy. Like, media, they diagnosed me with mental health disorders like I suddenly had depression." she said (at 36:30).

Andy Murray joins Novak Djokovic's team at the Australian Open

Andy Murray has joined Novak Djokovic in Australia. The former World No. 1 will coach Djokovic throughout the first Grand Slam of the year in Melbourne.

On January 7, the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of Australian Open posted a video of Murray and Djokovic on the training court for the first time. The Serbian was seen practicing his shots while Murray watched him train.

"What we have all been waiting for... Andy Murray has arrived in Melbourne to begin his partnership with Novak Djokovic."

Daniil Medvedev becomes a dad for the second time

Daniil Medvedev and his wife Daria announced the birth of their second child. The couple already have a daughter, Alisa.

Medvedev posted a picture holding his newborn in his arms, with his daughter sitting beside him. The Russian shared the good news on his Instagram account on January 7th.

"Happy 2025,"Medvedev captioned the post, accompanied by a heart emoji.

Elena Rybakina's new coach talks about Stefano Vukov

Elena Rybakina's coach Goran Ivanisevic opened up about the Stefano Vukov situation. The Kazakh star reintroduced Vukov to his team after their controversial split up last season.

Stefano Vukov is 'provisionally suspended' by the WTA after his split up with Rybakina and his return has caused controversy. Rybakina's current coach Ivanisevic opened up about the whole situation after it was reported that he was 'blindsided' about the whole situation.

"Listen, the investigation is still on, so we wait for WTA to finish, and then I can talk about everything. But until then… I spoke to Elena; I told her what I think. It's a very strange situation. So I don't want to, really. I can talk to you after WTA makes the decision, and then we can." Ivanisevic said to Ben Rothenberg's Bounces.
