Following Paolini's victory, her mother Jacqueline, seated in her player's box, captured everyone's attention with her emotional reaction.

Novak Djokovic advanced to the semifinals of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships with a walkover victory after Alex de Minaur withdrew due to a hip injury, giving the Serb three full days off before facing Lorenzo Musetti on Friday, July 12.

Coco Gauff's coach Brad Gilbert believes this extended break could pose a challenge for the Serb, who last played on Monday, July 8, when he defeated 15th seed Holger Rune 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in the fourth round.

The former World No. 4 shared his thoughts on Djokovic's situation on X.

"Just thinking 🤔 for Djoker [Novak Djokovic] will be 3 full days off for Friday semis, kinda tricky for most players to navigate 🗺️ practice and what to with that many days off," Gilbert wrote.

Elina Svitolina defeated the likes of Magda Linette, Jule Niemeier, Ons Jabeur, and Wang Xinyu in the first four rounds of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships. In the quarterfinals, Svitolina lost 3-6, 2-6 against the fourth seed, Elena Rybakina. This marked Svitolina's second straight defeat against Rybakina in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam, following her loss to the Kazakh in the quarterfinals of the 2024 French Open.


Nick Kyrgios silences critics with accurate prediction of Elena Rybakina vs Barbora Krejcikova's Wimbledon SF result

Nick Kyrgios responded to critics who doubted his support for the WTA by accurately predicting the outcome of the Wimbledon semifinal between Elena Rybakina and Barbora Krejcikova. The 31st seed Krejcikova defeated the fourth seed Rybakina 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to advance to her maiden final at SW19, where she will face seventh seed Jasmine Paolini on July 13.

Kyrgios proudly noted his correct prediction on X, writing:

"Hmm I called the Krejcikova v Rybakina to be an interesting match up on the panel today at espn…. Guess I know a thing or two about womens tennis as well…. I played juniors with Barbora and knew that she had the game to trouble on the grass," Kyrgios wrote.

Nick Kyrgios is currently unranked on the ATP tour due to inactivity caused by multiple injuries and surgeries. The Australian is currently serving as a commentator for Wimbledon on BBC.
