Novak Djokovic provides hilarious insight into his last-minute US Open preparations
Novak Djokovic offered a light-hearted glimpse into his last-minute packing process for the US Open, which is set to run from August 26 to September 8.
In a TikTok video, Djokovic arranged his bags as he prepared to travel to New York for the tournament. The Paris Olympic gold medalist also admitted to his habit of overpacking.
"I'm one of those people who always takes more than he needs," Novak Djokovic said. "I don't seem very excited right now because it's 11 pm and of course, the night before the morning of departure and I still haven't finished my packing because I live in suitcases, I live in bags."
"This is my life. It's a sad story, not about the playing but I'm just stating the obvious," Djokovic added.

Nick Kyrgios demands 2-year suspension for Jannik Sinner following failed drug test
Nick Kyrgios believes Jannik Sinner should have received a two-year ban after the latter twice tested positive for a performance-enhancing steroid, Clostebol, earlier this year but avoided suspension due to successful appeals.
The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) reported that the Italian’s physiotherapist accidentally contaminated him with the banned substance. Sinner’s lawyers argued that only a trace amount was found, and investigations cleared him of any fault or negligence.
However, Kyrgios voiced his dissent on X (formerly Twitter), insisting that a two-year ban should have been imposed, regardless of intent.
"Ridiculous - whether it was accidental or planned. You get tested twice with a banned (steroid) substance… you should be gone for 2 years. Your performance was enhanced. Massage cream…. Yeah nice," Kyrgios wrote.
Kyrgios also controversially compared the penalties for marijuana use and steroid use.
"Well at this point, players who do blow get more of a punishment then players who do steroids," he added.
Jannik Sinner recently won his third ATP Masters 1000 title at the Cincinnati Open by defeating Frances Tiafoe 7-6 (4), 6-2 in the final.
