Roger Federer spoke about the moment when he adjusted Carlos Alcaraz's bowtie during the black carpet event ahead of the 2024 Laver Cup.

The seventh edition of this popular exhibition event, organized by Federer's management company TEAM8, is currently taking place at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany, and will conclude on September 22.

Alcaraz is making his Laver Cup debut this year as part of Team Europe, which includes Casper Ruud, Daniil Medvedev, Grigor Dimitrov, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Flavio Cobolli, and Jan-Lennard Struff.

At the black carpet event before the tournament, the Swiss noticed a slight issue with Alcaraz's bowtie. Stepping in, Federer kindly adjusted it for him.

During a recent interview, the 43-year-old reflected on the sweet moment when he fixed Alcaraz's bowtie.

"Carlos' bow tie was so out of place, I needed to fix it...," he said.

Carlos Alcaraz kicked off his Laver Cup campaign with a disappointing doubles loss. The Spaniard and partner Alexander Zverev lost 6-7(5), 4-6 to Team World's Ben Shelton and Taylor Fritz. On Day 2, the Spaniard registered his first victory in singles by defeating Shelton 6-4, 6-4.

For Day 3, Alcaraz will partner with Casper Ruud to face Team World's Frances Tiafoe and Shelton. Meanwhile, in singles, the four-time Grand Slam champion will take on Fritz.

Not long after, Tiafoe playfully responded with his version of the 'Salt Bae' gesture, and Medvedev joined in the fun.
