Iga Swiatek was the defending champion at the 2024 WTA Finals, having won the title in 2023 by defeating Jessica Pegula 6–1, 6–0 in the final.

This year, Swiatek was placed in the Orange Group and she kicked off her campaign at the season-ending event by triumphing over Barbora Krejcikova 4–6, 7–5, 6–2 in the first group stage match. However, she lost to eventual champion Coco Gauff in the next round, 3–6, 4–6.

Iga Swiatek was then set to face Pegula in the third group match, but the latter withdrew from the tournament due to a left knee injury, and the Pole played against Daria Kasatkina instead. Swiatek showcased her dominance on the court, securing a resounding victory of 6–1, 6–0 over the Russian.

Despite her impressive win over Kasatkina, Swiatek's journey in the WTA Finals ended as she fell short of advancing to the semifinals.

Following the end of her campaign at the season-ending tournament, Iga Swiatek took to social media to share some pictures and a video of her exploring Riyadh. She posted a series of photos capturing her adventures in the city, including a picture with her new coach, Wim Fissette, and psychologist, Daria Abramowicz

Coco Gauff's friend Jalen Sera celebrates her winning WTA Finals for the first time

Coco Gauff won her first WTA Finals title this year. Gauff won three titles this season- two in singles and one in doubles, before winning the season-ending tournament.

Gauff made her third appearance at the WTA Finals this year. She defeated compatriot Jessica Pegula 6–3, 6–2 and Iga Swiatek 6–3, 6–4 in the first two group stage matches, respectively, but faced a setback against Barbora Krejcikova, losing to her 5–7, 4–6 in the third group stage match.

However, the 20-year-old bounced back in the semifinals and defeated Aryna Sabalenka 7–6(4), 6–3 before ultimately clinching the title by overcoming Zheng Qinwen 3–6, 6–4, 7–6(2) in the final.

Following her 2024 WTA Finals victory, Gauff's close friend Jalen Sera took to social media to celebrate her victory.

Daniil Medvedev's daughter Alisa pointed his posted out after spotting it at ATP Finals 2024

Daniil Medvedev, who won the ATP Finals in 2020 by triumphing over Dominic Thiem in the final, will also compete at the season-ending tournament this year.

This year, Medvedev, along with players like Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, and Alex de Minaur will play in the singles event at the ATP Finals. The tournament is scheduled from November 10 to November 17, 2024, at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.

Daniil Medvedev was accompanied by his wife Daria and daughter Alisa to Italy, who are also in Italy to cheer him on at the ATP Finals.

Daria recently took to social media to share a heartwarming video of Alisa exploring the tournament's facilities. In the video, the two-year-old can be seen excitedly pointing to her father's poster, a sweet moment reminiscent of last year's tournament.
