Venus Williams reflected on the iconic braids she wore for her WTA Tour debut 30 years ago at the Bank of the West Classic in Oakland, California. To celebrate the milestone, Williams shared a heartfelt message on social media, tagging Serena Williams, Coco Gauff, and Naomi Osaka.
In an Instagram story, Williams expressed gratitude for the impact of that moment and acknowledged the female POC players who followed, including her sister Serena, Gauff, and Osaka.
"This day 30 years ago I brought braids, beads and the beginning of a game never seen before in tennis, it was the vision of my dad," Venus Williams wrote on her Instagram stories. "This day changed my life, and I had no idea at 14 yrs old it would change so many others."
"So proud of those who came next. Never compromise, be unapologetically and authentically you and be proud of you you are and where you come from, you never know, you just might change the game," she added.

Coco Gauff and her brother Cameron got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up as the iconic Marvel characters Deadpool and Wolverine.
Sharing a series of photos on social media, Gauff expressed how much fun she had dressing up as part of a famous Marvel duo with her brother.

The American's post even caught the eye of "Deadpool" actor Ryan Reynolds, who shared her post. Gauff then shared that she’s a "huge fan" of Reynolds and enjoyed putting a "city girl" spin on Deadpool.
