Kokkinakis achieved his highest doubles ranking of No. 15 in November 2022 and is currently ranked No. 337 by the ATP. He has won three doubles and one singles title in his career so far.

Kokkinakis began playing tennis at the age of seven with his brother Pan. As a junior, he was a former world No. 10 and won the junior Grand Slam doubles title at the 2013 Wimbledon Championships with partner Nick Kyrgios. His tennis idols growing up were Roger Federer and Marat Safin.

Kokkinakis broke into the top 100 for the first time in 2015. He suffered a lot of injuries over the years, due to which he has failed to perform consistently on the ATP Tour.
