#2 Pete Sampras
Pete Sampras is one of the all time greats and held the record for highest number of grand slams for a lot of years before Federer leapfrogged him. He has won 7 grand slams titles at Wimbledon and is one of the greatest player to ever play on a grass court. He was known as " Pistol Pete " during his playing days because of his precision and powerful serve. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2007.
From 1997-2000, Sampras won four consecutive Wimbledon titles and was one of the most feared players to play on grass court. He is also the only player to never lose in a Wimbledon finals and his finals record stands at 7-0.
Sampras was handled a shocking defeat in the fourth round of the Wimbledon 2001 by a very young Roger Federer, who was just 19 years old, in an epic 5-setter. This defeat ended Sampras' winning streak of 31 games at Wimbledon.
He won 14 grand slams and is currently third on the list of all-time grand slams leaders.
