Coco Gauff/Taylor Fritz vs Iga Swiatek/Hubert Hurkacz
Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz of the USA will take on Poland's Iga Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz in the final of the 2025 United Cup on Sunday, January 5.
Gauff and Fritz have paired up well so far at the mixed-gender team tournament. They notched up two wins from their two group-stage matches. The duo defeated Canada's Leylah Fernandez and Felix Auger-Aliassime, 7-6(2), 7-5 in the first match.
They secured a more comfortable win against Petra Marcinko and Ivan Dodig. Fritz complemented the former doubles World No. 1 well to come out on top against the Croatian pair, winning the match 6-2, 6-3. Gauff and Fritz did not pair up in the knockout rounds as they featured only in the singles.
Meanwhile, Swiatek and Hurkacz have only played one doubles match together so far. They paired up against Czech Republic's Karolina Muchova and Tomas Machac in the group stage.
The Pole pair were tested in the opening set by Machac and Muchova. However, they held their nerves to lead the match after a tense tie-break. The second set was a more straightforward affair as they closed it out after nine games to win the match 7-6(3), 6-3.
Coco Gauff/Taylor Fritz vs Iga Swiatek/Hubert Hurkacz head-to-head

Coco Gauff/Taylor Fritz vs Iga Swiatek/Hubert Hurkacz prediction
Gauff and Fritz enter the final on the back of two straight-set wins in Perth. This will be the first time they pair up at the Ken Rosewall Arena. While court conditions are more or less the same, Swiatek and Hurkacz have a slight advantage, having already played together in Sydney.
However, the USA has a genuine doubles player in Gauff. Unlike the rest, the American has a history of regularly playing doubles at the top level. If Fritz can combine well with his partner, the duo could prove deadly.
Poland's chances of winning the tie depend highly on Swiatek's performance. The Pole's footwork and forehand can single-handedly win points for the team. Hurkacz's strong serves could also create problems.
Both teams have their set of strong points. While the Poles depend on individual skills, Gauff and Fritz make up a better doubles combination. Hence, the Americans are expected to come out on top in this fixture.
Pick: Gauff and Fritz to win in two sets.
