Swiatek has played four matches so far in the United Cup and has come out on top in all of them. She beat Malene Helgo and Karolina Muchova during the group stages and came back from a set down to beat Katie Boulter during Poland's quarterfinal tie against Great Britain.

Coco Gauff competed in the United Cup for the very first time in her career and registered straight-set wins over Leylah Fernandez and Donna Vekic during the group stage to help the United States qualify for the quarterfinals.

Swiatek's superior head-to-head record makes her the favorite entering the match. However, Gauff won their last encounter, which took place on hard courts, not to forget the level of her performances since her disappointing US Open exit.
Swiatek's first-serve numbers during the United Cup haven't been particularly impressive, as she won 137 out of 198 points on it (69.2%). The Pole has served 11 aces while accumulating nine double faults. The World No. 2 will look to make good use of her blend of aggression and counter-punching, not to forget her mentality.
