World No. 38 from the Czech Republic, Jiri Lehecka will face Mitchell Krueger in the second round of the US Open 2024 on August 28th. Lehecka enters the round after winning against Hungary's Márton Fucsovics on Court 6 in four sets and an eventual walkover 6-1, 4-6, 3-6, 0-3.

On the contrary, Krueger played against France's Hugo Grenier in a four-set thrilling encounter 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 5-7. He reached the second round of the US Open earlier in 2020, losing to Novak Djokovic in straight sets.

This will be Lehecka's best-ever appearance at Flushing Meadows, as the younger player has excellent balance while covering the court and a strong baseline play to bolster his solid serves and backhands.

Mitchell Krueger vs Jiri Lehecka head-to-head

With both players entering the second round of the US Open in good form, there is a high chance their match could go the distance. The only challenge the Czech player may face is his breakpoint conversions, as he has a 34% conversion rate compared to Krueger's 43%, who will also have his home crowd's support.

Pick - Lehecka will win in three sets.
