Jack Draper vs Karen Khachanov preview
Seventh seed Jack Draper will compete against Karen Khachanov in the 2024 Erste Bank Open summit clash on Sunday, October 27. Both players will be keen to register their first-ever title in Vienna.
Draper has made a strong return to the tour after suffering an abdominal injury in September. He commenced his campaign at the ATP 500 event with a closely fought 7-6(5), 7-5 win over Kei Nishikori. He eased past Luciano Darderi, 7-5, 6-1, before getting the better of Tomas Machac, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, in the quarterfinals. The Brit then powered into the final defeating sixth seed Lorenzo Musetti, 6-2, 6-4.
Khachanov entered the Erste Bank Open high on confidence, following his title win at the Almaty Open. After a straightforward first-round win against Thiago Seyboth Wild, 6-2, 6-4, Khachanov had to come from behind, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4, to beat Brandon Nakashima in the second round. A couple of straight sets wins over Matteo Berrettini, 6-1, 6-4, and second seed Alex de Minaur, 6-2, 6-4, ensured the Russian's place in the final.

Jack Draper vs Karen Khachanov prediction
Draper has been on the rise this season. The Brit majorly stepped up in the latter half of the year, climbing 22 spots in the rankings in the last four months. His title win at the BOSS Open and a semifinal run at the US Open this year were breakthrough results for the young campaigner.
However, Khachanov is not an easy opponent to write off either. He is equally promising as the Brit on hardcourts. While consistency has been a point of concern this year, Khachanov has stepped up when it most mattered. He has won both of his finals this year, in Doha and Almaty, both being hard courts.
The Erste Bank Open final looks to be a feisty encounter between two opponents who are currently at the top of their games. It will be a tough call to predict the winner. Khachanov's experience might well be the factor that proves to be the difference on Sunday.
Pick: Khachanov to win in three sets.
