Where is the 2025 Miami Open played?
The 2025 Miami Open will be played on the hard courts of the Hard Rock Stadium. It has been the venue for the tournament since 2019. The stadium was restructured to increase the parking facility, thus increasing ticket sales for the tournament. Miami Open tournament director James Blakes said, "Once people get out to the site and see what we are building, they understand what an amazing event this is going to be." He further added, "Our main goal was always to keep the Miami Open in Miami, so when (Dolphins owner) Stephen Ross approached us with the idea of moving to Hard Rock Stadium, we were obviously intrigued,".
The new building will have 11 permanent courts and 18 practice courts, which include three stadium courts, along with a rooftop deck, a beer garden, and a food court. It is annually organized at the Miami Gardens in Florida, United States. The first Miami Open commenced in February 1985 at the Laver's International Tennis Resort located in Delray Beach, Florida.
It was shifted to Boca West in the year 1986. Later, the tournament founder Butch Buchholz shifted the tournament to Key Biscayne in 1987 with Dade County (WTA President) and Merrett Stierheim. From 1987 to 2018, the tournament was played at the Tennis Centre at Crandon Park, located in Key Biscayne.
