Rafael Nadal once admitted that he feels shy in front of cameras. The revelation caught everyone off guard, especially since he’s appeared in numerous commercials and photoshoots over the years.

Nadal has joined hands with many renowned brands over the years, including American fashion mogul Tommy Hilfiger. In 2015, he became the brand ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger's underwear line, tailored clothing, and men’s fragrance, TH Bold, under a two-year contract.
The campaign, known for its bold and confident style, featured the 22-time Major champion in a series of photos and videos that highlighted his athletic physique while modeling the underwear. The launch event included a tennis match in New York City, where he participated in a fun and playful game of "strip tennis" with celebrities such as Chanel Iman, Constance Jablonski and Hannah Davis.

In an interview with Sports360° that same year, Rafael Nadal shared his thoughts on the shooting experience. He admitted to feeling shy in front of the camera and explained that rather than worrying about how it would appear on TV, he chose to focus on enjoying the moment.
"I am still shy with some things, not so much with others," Nadal joked.
"Obviously, I started very young and have had a lot of years being in front of people. When I am shooting that [the underwear campaign] I do not believe it will be on the television. I do it and try to have fun with the people who are around shooting," he added.
