Fonseca registered his first Masters 1000 win at the Madrid Open in 2024 by beating Alex Michelsen. He lifted the title of his first Challenger title at the 2024 Lexington Challenger. He won the 2024 Next Generation ATP Finals, defeating Learner Tien in the final.
