Canadian tennis player Félix Auger-Aliassime was born on August 8, 2000. His career-high singles ranking is No. 6, making him the second-highest-ranked Canadian man in Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings history and the fourth-highest-ranked Canadian player ever. His mother, Marie Auger, is of French-Canadian ancestry, and his father, Sam Aliassime, is an immigrant from Togo who is of African descent. His father was a tennis coach, and Malika, his older sister, also plays tennis. He began playing tennis when he was five years old, and trained at the Club Avantage in Quebec City as a member of the Académie de Tennis Hérisset-Bordeleau.

Since the fall of 2014, Felix Auger-Aliassime has participated in training sessions at Tennis Canada's national training facility in Montreal. He turned professional in 2017 and made his ATP tour debut in 2018.
