Mirra Andreeva unethical Conduct

Mirra Andreeva was fined for unethical and unsporting behavior during her fourth-round match at the 2023 Wimbledon. She was fined a total of $8,000 for two incidents during her match against Madison Keys.

After losing the second set tie-break, Andreeva was given her first warning for throwing her racket. After losing a crucial point in the final set, it appeared that she threw her racket again, leading to a point penalty. She argued with the chair umpire Louise Azemar and told her that the point penalty was the wrong decision, and that the racket slipped out of her hand. In her post-match conference, Andreeva admitted that she deserved the first warning, but not the second one.
