#3 Four one-sided finals make an Epic Grand Slam
All the finals at Wimbledon 2017 were one-sided, short encounters, where one player/ team dominated the proceedings and sealed the title. Well, all but the men's doubles final.
That particular final lasted a little more than four and a half hours, and turned out to be one of the most exciting finals ever in the men's doubles section.
Lucasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo eventually triumphed over Oliver Marach and Mate Pavic 5-7, 7-5, 7-6, 3-6, 13-11 in a match that had enough drama and twists packed in it to make up for all the finals.
The match started in the afternoon and went on till late evening, so much so that there was a 10-minute break in play for the retractable roof on the Centre Court could be closed so that the flood lights could be turned on.
