Wimbledon Ladies Singles defending champion Garbine Muguruza ended her run at SW19 this year after a shocking defeat. The Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck, ranked 47th, ended Muguruza's feat of defending her title with a score of 5-7, 6-2, 6-1.

After clinching the title last year, she was the clear favorite for the win this year too, but that was not the case as compared to her current form. She looked completely off colour and found it hard getting past the 47th ranked player. She will look forward to compensating her harsh loss here at the US Open later this season.
