Danielle Collins vs Barbora Krejcikova preview
Eleventh seed Danielle Collins will lock horns with Barbora Krejcikova in the fourth round of the Wimbledon Championships on Monday.
Collins has silenced her critics with an excellent season so far. She's amassed 35 wins from 46 matches, including title-winning runs in Miami and Charleston. She also reached the semifinals of the Madrid Open, but fell to Aryna Sabalenka, who halted her 15-match win streak on tour.
The American entered Wimbledon on the back of a second-round exit in Paris. She outfoxed the likes of Clara Tauson, Dalma Galfi and Beatriz Haddad Maia en route to the fourth round, beating the latter 6-4, 6-4.
Meanwhile, Barbora Krejcikova has been slightly protective about her scheduling this year. She's had a promising season so far, amassing quarterfinal runs in Melbourne, Abu Dhabi and Birmingham, where she lost to seventh seed Anastasia Potapova.
Krejcikova started her campaign in Wimbledon with hardfought wins over Veronika Kudermetova and Katie Volynets in the first two rounds. She then moved past Jessica Bouzas Maneiro in the third. The Spaniard Maneiro was forced to withdraw mid-way through their match due to injury, handing Krejcikova a spot in the last 16.

Danielle Collins vs Barbora Krejcikova prediction
Danielle Collins is making her sixth appearance in London and is through to the fourth round for the first time in her career. Having announced her retirement at the end of the year, the American has pulled out all the stops this season. She clinched her maiden WTA 1000 crown in Miami and entered the top 15 of the WTA Rankings for the first time in two years.
Krejcikova, on the contrary, is working towards getting back to speed after recovering from a back injury. Apart from a disappointing clay court swing, the she has made valubale contributions this year. The Czech grinded out tough wins against Kudermetova and Volynets in the first two rounds, which would have boosted her confidence and increased her fitness levels.
The London crowd can expect a close contest between two stubborn players on tour. With the top seed Iga Swiatek out of the picture, both players will be keen to continue their run at the Wimbledon Championships. Krejcikova has the pedigree to present a tough challenge to Collins in the fourth round, but the American should be able to dig deep and get the job done.
Pick: Collins to win in three sets.
