Thirteenth seed Taylor Fritz is set to lock horns with fourth seed Alexander Zverev in a tantalizing fourth-round encounter at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships on Monday, July 8.

Fritz entered the All England Club after a title-winning run at the Rothesay International. He comprehensively saw off Max Purcell in the final, rounding off a brilliant week without dropping a single set.
Fritz kicked off his Wimbledon campaign with an emphatic 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 win over Christopher O'Connell. He was given a scare in the second round by the big-serving Arthur Rinderknech but eventually came through 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. A brilliant all-round display in the third round against 24th seed Alejandro Tabilo saw him seal a 7-6 (3), 6-3, 7-5 win.
Zverev, meanwhile, kicked off his grasscourt swing in Halle. He lost to Hubert Hurkacz in the semifinals after coming through a couple of tough three-setters in the tournament.
Zverev began his Wimbledon campaign with an emphatic 6-2, 6-4, 6-2 win over Roberto Carballes Baena in the opening round. He took on an in-form Marcos Giron in the second round but passed that test easily with a 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 win.
Up against home favorite Cameron Norrie in the third round, the German played some of his best tennis from the back of the court and at the end of an epic third set en route to a 6-4, 6-4, 7-6(15) win.
