Inter Milan have reignited their interest in signing Oscar from Chelsea. The midfielder is not a regular in Conte's new system and is reportedly set to be sold by the manager soon.
Oscar has not started a game for Chelsea since their 2-1 loss to Liverpool at home. The Brazilian has not featured for the national team as well and is not in form.
Milan have been tracking him for a long time and have been linked with a move ever since the days of Robert Mancini. The former Manchester City manager was keen on signing him ever since he took over at the club in 2014 but the Premier League side were not willing to sell him.
The Brazilian was a very important player under Jose Mourinho but has fallen down the order under Antonio Conte. The midfielder was in the first team at the start of the season but then lost his place after the formation changed.
Conte will not be able to unable to fit Oscar into this Chelsea team as the central midfield roles are dominated by Matic and Kante right now while the attacking roles have brought the best out of Eden Hazard and Pedro.
Oscar's current contract expires in 2019 and that puts the Premier League in a stronger position in the negotiations than the clubs seeking to sign him. The Blues would demand at least £25 million for the midfielder for whom they paid £20 million, 4 years ago.
Chelsea rejected a 'big money' offer for Oscar in January from an unnamed Chinese Club. The Blues were managed by Guus Hiddink at that time and he too played the Brazilian in most of the matches he was in charge of.
Cesc Fabregas has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan in recent times as he too has fallen down the order at Chelsea. The Spanish International is currently out injured and is expected to be back in action only in mid-December.
Nerazzurri’s are struggling in the 9th position in the Serie A and are looking for reinforcements to push for a Champions League place finish. Frank de Boer was sacked just 84 days after he took charge and has been replaced by Stefano Pioli.
Apart from Inter Milan, Juventus and LA Galaxy are also said to be keen on signing Oscar. The MLS side are looking for a replacement for Steven Gerrard and have reportedly shown interest in getting the Brazilian. The Serie A champions might be a possible destination for the Brazilian but a move to MLS looks highly unlikely.
