Here, we will take a look at the MLS players playing in this years World Cup.The Premier Football league in the United States has seen some of the biggest stars in the World of Football during the past few years. At the twilight of their careers players tend to sign up for MLS teams and lighten up the US crowds. David Beckham, Thierry Henry and Robbie Keane are some of the famous players who have played in the MLS, with Henry and Keane still continuing their careers in the League.This years FIFA World Cup also features some prominent players who ply their trade in the MLS. #6 scar Boniek Garca
Oscar is yet another Honduran who plays in the Major League Soccer. He receives his second name from the famous Polish player Zbigniew Boniek. He plays as a right winger for the Honduran national team as well as his MLS team Houston Dynamo.
He has played 51 games for the Honduran side scoring 8 goals in total.
#5 Jerry Bengtson
Jerry Bengtson is a Honduran footballer who plays as a forward for New England Revolution in Major League Soccer. He has played for the Honduran youth team and is now part of the National team which is playing the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Since 2010 he has played 44 matches for the Honduras and has scored 19 goals.
#4 Vctor Bernrdez
Víctor Salvador Bernárdez Blanco, popularly known as Muma is a Honduran International who plays for the San Jose Earthquakes. He made his debut for Honduras in a March 2004 friendly match against Venezuela and has earned, as of June 2012, a total of 64 caps, scoring 4 goals.
He was part of the Anderlecht team which won the Belgian Pro League in the 2009-10 season.
#3 Giancarlo Gonzlez
This Costa Rican footballer plays for Columbus Crew in the Major League Soccer. He was a main player at Alaguelense club in Costa Rica helping them to win three League titles. He went on to play for Norwegian club Valerenga and now plays in the MLS.
This 26 year old player still has many more years in his side and has showed up for National side in this years FIFA World Cup
#2 Tim Cahill
He is one of Australia’s most famous players having played in three world cups and has a total of 33 goals from 70 appearances for the Socceroos. He is well known in the Premier League circles having played for David Moyes’ Everton from 2004-2012.
He know plies his trade at New York Red Bulls and has scored 13 goals from 46 appearances.
#1 Julio Cesar
The Brazilian goalkeeper is one of the most prominent members of this list. At the age of 34 he played most of his career for Inter Milan and then moved on to lesser clubs such as QPR in the English Premier League. He has 80(and counting) appearances for Brazil and is their first choice goal keeper for this world cup.
He currently plays for Toronto FC and still has some more years up his sleeve.
