Some Unsatisfying Storylines of Days of Our Lives.

1) The Endless Love Triangle

Sami Brady, EJ DiMera, and Lucas Horton have been shown in a love triangle since 2006, which spanned a decade. It started as an intriguing chemistry, turning into reconciliation and heartbreaks over and over again. As the storyline developed over the years, Sami going back and forth was quite frustrating, even though the actors' performances were strong.

2) Marlena’s Possession Reboot

Marlena's Possession was a good storyline originally aired in the mid-1990s. However, its Reboot in 2021 felt like a forceful nostalgia trip to the past. However, the storyline lasted from October 2021 to January 2022 but was quite disappointing.

3) The Salem Stalker Murders

In 2003, when the Salem Stalker Murders began, it was thrilling to watch the killing of characters individually. However, it was a relief to know when it was revealed that the characters were alive and on an isolated island, but their fake deaths were quite frustrating.

4) Nicole Walker’s Miracle Baby

In 2012, after many years, Nicole got pregnant, but at 37 weeks, she delivered a stillborn baby. This plot was heartbreaking as it was the second time that Nicole suffered from such a loss.

5) Bo and Hope’s Uneventful Reunion

Bo and Hope, the super couple of Days of Our Lives in the 80s, were a highly anticipated reunion and the most awaited. However, when they reunited in 2008, it was expected to be an epic love romance, but mundane issues bogged it down.

6) John Black’s Endless Identity Crisis

In 1997, John struggled with an identity crisis. It began as an intriguing mystery, but it became complicated to understand over time. By the time the story had a conclusion in 2008, after almost a decade, it was tiring and left us confused because of the constant changes in John’s backstory.

7) Ben Weston’s Redemption

After being revealed as the Necktie Killer, Ben Weston's change into a sympathetic character was unbelievable. After committing many heinous crimes, Ben's seeking redemption in 2017 was unsatisfying.

8) Adrienne’s Death and Reappearance

Adrienne died in a fatal car accident in 2019, which seemed off the plot. However, her reappearance in Days of Our Lives spanned for almost a year and was not narrative enough to keep the audience on edge or, we may say, curious enough.

9) The Baby Switch

In 2009, when Nicole switched her stillborn baby with Sami's healthy baby, it was disappointing. However, the storyline dragged on for months before the truth was revealed. By that time, the story had lost its emotional impact.

10) The Melaswen Island

Following the Salem Stalker Murder storyline, watching the beloved characters back in Days of Our Lives when revealed to be alive was somewhat satisfying. However, the backstory and the narrative were poor and dissatisfying.
