5 Rebecca Budig shows worth a watch other than The Bold and the Beautiful

Rebecca Budig joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in June 2024 to play Taylor, a role vacated by Krista Allen in 2023. Along with The Bold and the Beautiful, Budig has many other shows and movies to her credit. Starting her acting career in 1993, she has been part of short films, TV films, limited series, soaps, and music videos. She has also hosted talk shows and documentaries.

Rebecca Budig has received numerous Daytime Emmy, Soap Opera Digest and Soap Hub nominations. She won the Soap Opera Digest Award in 2003 for All My Children. Her performance in the movie, About a Girl, earned her awards from Global Shorts, IndieFEST Film, Boden International Film Festival, and Santa Barbara Short Film Awards.

Her role in The Bold and the Beautiful is that of Dr. Taylor Hayes. Hayes is Steffy Forrester's mother and plays the jealous former wife of Ridge. After going through kidnapping, infidelity in relationships, being shot at, and a prolonged period of alcoholism resulting in crimes, Hayes is back on the soap to add problems in longtime rival Brooke's life.

Rebecca Budig became part of All My Children in August 1999. She played the role of the rich and spoilt Greenlee Smythe. Greenlee was a makeup company executive and Leo du Pres's romantic interest.

Budig took up the role on a recurring basis but was soon signed into a contract.

She and her Leo costar, Josh Duhamel, received many award nominations for their portrayals and pairing.

Budig won the 2003 Soap Opera Digest Award for her role in the soap. The ABC production, All My Children, is available on Apple TV+.


2) General Hospital

Rebecca Budig joined General Hospital on March 20, 2015. Her character of Hayden Barnes was advertised as a killer role. Hayden was paired with Doctor Finn in the soap. After two years on the soap and various story arc twists, she left in 2017.

However, Rebecca's Hayden returned in July 2019 and exited the show permanently in November of the same year.

While the soap is ongoing on ABC, some of the previous seasons are available on YouTube. There are also streaming options on Hulu and Roku for interested viewers.

3) Amazing Water Homes

One of the popular lifestyle shows hosted by Rebecca Budig, Amazing Water Homes was a 2013 show on HGTV, the exclusive lifestyle platform.

Rebecca hosted the show that presented designs of artistic private homes in the US with garden or inhouse pools.

The attraction of the show was to present waterfront living with a twist that included moats, and lazy rivers within the properties. Season 1 of Amazing Water Homes is currently available to stream on Apple TV+.


4) CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and L.A.'s Finest

In 2007, Rebecca was part of two episodes of CSI, titled Cockroaches and Lying Down with Dogs. The name of her character was Joanna 'Candy' Krumsky. It was a guest appearance. In 2019, she was in a recurring role in a similar show, L.A.'s Finest, where she played Carlene Hart in season 1.

The two episodes of CSI featuring Rebecca are available for streaming on Apple TV+ as is the first season of L.A.'s Finest. CSI is also available on Prime Video.


5) Guiding Light

One of the earlier daily soaps for Rebecca Budig, Guiding Light premiered in 1952 and ran till 2009. Rebecca joined the soap in 1995 as Michelle Bauer belonging to one of the central families, the Bauers, in the soap.

The soap is currently not available for streaming on any platform. However, a four-disc collection of select 20 episodes was released in 2012. Interested fans may enquire about buying on Amazon Prime or Apple TV.
