Linsey Godfrey plays Sarah Horton on Days of Our Lives. She has been part of The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful before joining DOOL. Her portrayal of Sarah added a fresh twist to the soap's storyline as well as giving her onscreen romantic partner, Xander Kiriakis, an intense story arc.
However, current plot dynamics on the soap hint at Linsey's exit from the soap as Sarah awaits a malicious onslaught from her onscreen mother-in-law, Fiona.
Linsey's Sarah was a recent addition to the long-running soap, Days of Our Lives. Belonging to the influential Horton family, Sarah has had a calming effect on the Kiriakis crook, Xander. 1) Linsey is a cancer survivor
In 2006, Linsey Godfrey was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a form of cancer of the lymphatic system. This happened a year after she landed one of her earlier roles in the 2005 television show, Surface. Her treatment took seven months at the end of which she was cured.
However, the Days of Our Lives actor claimed the diagnosis and the treatment set her career back by a few years of effort put into it before her diagnosis. She had to accept one-episode roles for a few years till she landed her regular role in B&B.
Linsey has a cancer survivor ribbon tattooed at the back of her neck which she designed herself.

2) Linsey's first soap opera was The Bold and the Beautiful
While her current fans may recognize Linsey from her role as Sarah on Days of Our Lives, her first daily soap assignment was The Bold and the Beautiful where she portrayed Caroline Spencer between 2012 and 2018. The character was later named Caroline Forrester. She was a regular cast member from 2012 to 2016. Thereafter, it was a recurring role till her exit in March 2018.
She had a two-episode crossover role in The Young and the Restless in 2014. In Y&R she played her B&B character, Caroline Spencer.
After exiting B&B, she joined the cast of Days of Our Lives in the fall of the same year.

3) Linsey sustained two broken ankles simultaneously due to a car collision
In 2015, while walking on the sidewalk of a road in Los Angeles, Linsey was hit by a car due to a two-car collision. This left her with both her ankles broken though initially considered as complete leg damage. This necessitated a very short medical break from her work.
She made a full recovery and was back to vigorous work and other activities by the fall of the year due to her reliance on immense physical workouts.
The storyline of The Bold and the Beautiful incorporated the accident to make the actor's movements plausible in the show.

4) Linsey is a mother to daughter Aleda
Between 2013 and 2015, Linsey was in a relationship with Robert Adamson. They had a daughter, Aleda Seren Adamson, who was born in June 2014. The duo was engaged at the time which they later called off.
However, both Linsey and Robert have resolved to raise Aleda in a joint custody format where the child's needs would be their common priority.
Robert Adamson is a fellow actor who plays Noah Newman in the daily soap The Young and the Restless, and the two of them worked together when Linsey was part of the soap.

5) Linsey is an activist for various social and medical issues
The Days of Our Lives star took the Ice Bucket Challenge in 2014 after her daughter was born, to raise awareness about ALS. She is often supported by her mother in her work.
In March 2021, the actor was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and Bipolar 2. She divulged her diagnosis on her Instagram page. She also came out as bisexual in the same year.
Linsey is also a celebrity ambassador for INARA, a non-profit organization founded by Arwa Damon in 2015. the NGO is engaged in providing medical care and treatments to children who have been injured due to wars.
