CBS's upcoming daytime drama, Beyond the Gates, will premiere on the channel on February 24, 2025, at 2 p.m. ET. The soap, which focuses on the Black-rich community, revolves around the families of the Duprees, the Richardsons, the Hamiltons, and the Thomases. The storyline is set in the backdrop of the green and picturesque suburban Maryland, just beyond Washington, D.C.
The cast for Beyond the Gates was released in parts, with some of the main characters announced before the side characters were finalized. Michele Val Jean is the creator-showrunner and co-executive producer with Anna Saalfeld, Sheila Ducksworth, Kimberly Doebereiner, Julie Carruthers, Robert Guza Jr., Derrick Johnson, and Leon Russell.
Beyond the Gates was developed by P&G Studios, part of Proctor & Gamble, in collaboration with CBS Studios/NAACP Venture.

Tunie's Anita Dupree is the matriarch of the Dupree family and a former singer. Married to Vernon Dupree, Anita is the mother to Nicole and Dani, who she raised through hard work. She, now, has four grandchildren. Despite her refined and elegant personality, she hides her tough nature derived from her difficult Chicago past.
Sixty-six-year-old actor, Tamara, is an actor from Pennsylvania. She is also experienced in directing movies. Some of her projects include The Devil's Advocate, The Caveman's Valentine, and Flight.
Clifton Davis as Vernon Dupree
Anita's husband and the Dupree family patriarch, Vernon is a former senator in the Beyond the Gates storyline. He is known for his generous, gentle, and humble nature although he was a forerunner for the Civil Rights movement.
A Chicago-based senior actor, Clifton Davis has also been a songwriter and a licensed minister. His forty-year-long career saw him as an orator, video engineer, and show host besides being an actor and a theologist.
Daphnee Duplaix as Dr. Nicole Dupree-Richardson
Vernon and Anita's daughter, Nicole is married to Ted Richardson. She has two children, Martin and Kat. A psychiatrist by profession and a philanthropist by choice, Nicole is warm, empathetic, and enthusiastic. A high-achiever, she married surgeon Ted and seems to lead an ideal life.
Actor Daphnee was born and raised in New York. Some of her previous notable projects include One Live to Live, Lost & Found, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Karla Mosley as Dani Dupree
Vernon and Anita's younger daughter, Dani, is the mother of Naomi and Chelsea, from her former husband, Bill Hamilton. Wild and free-spirited as a child, Dani took up modeling as her career after dropping out of school. However, she gave it up for love. Now she is a momager.
Actor Karla Mosley started her career as a child performer in the children's rock band, Sugar Beats. She was also part of daily soaps like, Guiding Light and The Bold and the Beautiful, where she played the transgender, Maya Avant, pitched as the romantic interest of Carter Walton, played by Lawrence Saint-Victor.

Timon Durrett as Bill Hamilton
Ex-husband of Dani Dupree, Bill Hamilton is an opportunist on Beyond the Gates. A criminal defense attorney by profession, Bill is charismatic and well-connected. However, as a narcissist, he is greedy for publicity and is ever ready to twist situations to get what he wants.
Timon Kyle Durrett is a Chicago-based actor with more than 25 years of experience. Some of his well-known titles include Stiletto, Choker, The Final Say, CSI: Miami, The Young and the Restless, Ghost Whisperer, Stuck With You, and many more.
