Major developments to expect on Days of Our Lives from December 16 to 20, 2024

1) Judge and Jury

Philip and Xander have been at each other's throats for the past few weeks, competing over which one among them is the legal heir to their father Victor Kiriakis' company Titan.

Xander was initially prepared to sell shares of the company to obtain a serum for the healing of his wife Sarah. On the other hand, Philip went so far as to forge a copy of Victor's will in his favor, with the help of his mother Vivian Alamaine.

The fight between the two brothers is now inching towards its climax in the coming week. Philip and Xander shall be seen attending court hearings to finally decide who gets full control of Titan once and for all.

2) Old loves die hard

Tate has been caught in the middle of a love triangle with his longtime girlfriend Holly and his one-night fling Sophia. Sophia and Tate spent a night together when he and Holly went through a rough breakup at the time of his father Brady's arrest.

When Brady's innocence was declared, Tate and Holly made their amends and resumed their relationship, leaving Sophia jilted at the new developments. But it seems that the coming week is all set to unearth an unexpected connection that prolongs this complicated feud.

Spoilers for the soap indicate that Sophia and Tate will have a conversation in which she will confess to him that she is pregnant. This is sure to put another wrench in Tate and Holly's budding relationship.

The Horton family welcomed a new addition as Doug III joined the residents of Julie's house after Doug Williams' funeral. The character's sudden appearance was made even more suspicious to audiences when he pocketed a Horton family heirloom: a necklace from Alice Horton's time capsule that was recently opened.

The plot will likely thicken in the upcoming episodes when Doug III approaches Leo with the necklace. Spoilers indicate that Doug III might ask Leo to sell the necklace off, possibly in exchange for something. It remains to be seen why these two Salem residents seem to share a connection, and whether the theft of the necklace will be traced to the correct source.
