Beloved couple Bo and Hope Brady to return to Days of Our Lives

May 2025 on Days of Our Lives, will see the return of the loving couple Bo and Hope Brady as per TV Insider. As the soap celebrates its 60th season in 2025, a special plot has been planned to bring Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso back to the screen.

The duo were last seen face to face in 2023 when Kristian's Hope was trying to calm down an amnesiac Bo, played by Reckell. At the end of the scene, Bo was shot by their son Shawn and he fell into a coma. The character has since remained in a coma off-screen. While Kristian is set to return for the farewell episodes of Doug in November 2024, Reckell is not expected to appear for the show this year.

The onscreen couple's fans have been demanding their presence for long since the story arc after Bo's stupor has been sidelined. Both the actors have assured fans that the upcoming episodes will be well-liked. While Peter Reckell told TV Insider that playing Bo Brady of Salem was like riding a bike for him. Kristian Alfonso, on the other hand, thanked supporters for welcoming her appearances in Days of Our Lives.

Who are Bo and Hope Brady of Days of Our Lives?

Bo Brady, the youngest child of Caroline Brady, when she was married to Shawn Brady, turned out to be Victor Kiriakis's son. He joined the Salem Police Force as a detective. Hope, on the other hand, was Addie Horton's daughter during her marriage with Doug. Addie died while saving Hope from a car accident.

In their initial years, a young Hope tried to seduce Roman Brady but fell for his younger brother, Bo. Both lovers have had their share of relationships with other residents of Salem. However, their feelings for each other have withstood the test of time.

Their marriage sustained many trials and tribulations which include Bo's long undercover assignments and Hope's brainwashing by Stefano. On the one hand, Hope married Larry and Aiden despite being in love with Bo, on the other hand, Bo struggled with an inoperable brain tumor that killed him.

However, in 2023, Days of Our Lives showed that Bo was in a cryogenic freeze from where he woke up with a memory loss. Unable to identify her, he tried to attack Hope, who in turn talked to him. As mentioned before, he started getting his memory back, but his son, Shawn-Douglas, shot him to save his mother, sending him into a coma.

Both actors, Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso, joined the soap in 1983 in their respective roles as Bo and Hope, and played recurring cast members. Their scene together in episodes aired in 2023, marked their 40 years in their roles. The upcoming scenes will bring the count to 42 years of association with the soap.
