Rachel's little excursion
Ava and Brady sat down for a conversation about Rachel, where Ava expressed that she felt partly responsible for the child running away. Brasy countered that Rachel should have been in therapy, which was something that even Kristen agreed upon. This prompted Ava to share her own story about her troubled family and how she ran away from home as a child.
Rachel encountered a woman dressed in white and confided in the stranger about her decision to run away. After hearing Rachel's story, the woman suggested that Ava should be removed from the picture permanently. As part of their plan, Rachel called Ava using her phone to direct her to their location.
Meanwhile, Kristen was worried about her daughter's disappearance at the DiMera Mansion. EJ tried to calm his sister by assuring her that everything needed was being done to bring Rachel back home.
After telling Brady over voicemail that she had heard from Rachel, Ava headed over to the mentioned address. However, at the Aremid, Ava was hit in the back of the head with a candlestick, wielded by Rachel and the mysterious woman.

At the Horton house, Chad told JJ that Cat was back in Salem and getting a job as Marlena’s assistant. When Julie entered, Chad and JJ tried to cheer her up from her gloomy demeanor, suggesting that she might give Marlena a call sometime soon.
Cat approached Marlena about the assistant job, and the two shared an emotional conversation about their pasts and Marlena's husband, John. Just then, Chad and Julie entered the house. Julie took Marlena aside to discuss how she was grieving Doug. Marlena recommended her friend therapy, and Julie decided to give it a try.
