Days of Our Lives spoilers: Afterall, what will happen to Abigail?

After being absent from Days of Our Lives for some time, Abigail recently returned to Salem City with a new face. While Chad is determined to have her back in his life, the presumably amnesiac Abigail does not seem to remember much of her past. However, she has been asking Chad to do certain suspicious things such as move out of the DiMera mansion, which the doting lover would eagerly comply with.

Spoilers from Days of Our Lives hint at problems arising for Abigail or the person pretending to be Abigail. An impatient Chad is likely to ask her to go to Marlen for hypnosis therapy. Since the imposter knows hypnosis may expose her true identity, she would prefer to refuse or delay the therapy to buy more time.

However, she knows there has to be a plausible reason for Abigail to refuse to go into therapy to remember her past. As such, the fake Abigail, under pressure, may look for an alternate solution.

Days of Our Lives: Chad may pressure Abigail to go into therapy

Abigail DiMera née Devereaux has returned to Days of Our Lives with a memory loss and a different face, played by AnnaLynne McCord. She claimed to have been put through plastic surgery of which she has vague memories. While Chad and Jack Devereaux found ample clues pointing towards the amnesiac woman as Abigail, the audience got hints about the woman being an impostor.

While the woman's true identity is as yet unknown, she continues to fool Chad and other Salem residents as Abigail. However, Chad is getting impatient and wants to take major steps towards bringing back Abigail's memory. His conversation with Stephanie on the Days of Our Lives episode dated September 11, 2024, has put a seed of doubt in his mind, particularly after Stephanie thought Abigail was lying about a health plan. As mentioned before, he has complied with her demand to move out of his home since she did not want to remember her cruel self.

Chad DiMera will likely think the best way to regain lost memory would be to go into hypnosis and Marlena will help with that. This will likely put the impostor on edge since she won't be able to excuse herself out of the session. But, the hypnosis will blow her pretence. The safest option for the impostor would be to pretend to remember small snippets to hold the hypnosis at bay.

What has been happening to Abigail in the recent plot dynamics on Days of Our Lives?

Abigail had been absent from Days of Our Lives after her fatal stabbing by Clyde Weston. While killed by mistake in place of Belle, her journal, which Nicole found and handed over to Chad and Jack, started them on their quest to uncover her death.

After two years, June 2024 on Days of Our Lives saw Clyde claiming that Abigail was alive. When the exhumation of her coffin found her body missing, the two men started investigating her whereabouts. By August this year, clues led them to an apartment in Missouri to find an amnesiac mystery woman wearing Abigail's bracelet.

This and many other clues made the duo believe that the woman was Abigail, introducing actor AnnaLynne, and they brought her back to Salem and Chad's home. However, it was soon revealed to the audience that this woman was an impostor pretending to be Abby with memory loss. She and her brother were here with an ulterior motive.

In the recent episodes, Chad is managing the household and kids while trying to help Abigail regain her memory. Stephanie's doubts about Abigail's honesty might lead Chad to consider mental therapy like hypnosis, which could put the impostor in a difficult situation.
