Days of Our Lives spoilers: EJ faces a looming mess in upcoming episodes

EJ DiMera is one of the central characters on Days of Our Lives. The son of Susan Banks and Stefano DiMera, EJ was introduced into the soap's storyline in 1997. Currently played by Australian actor Dan Feuerriegel, EJ has faced a series of misfortunes in 2024.

His marriage has fallen apart, and he was fired from his prestigious position as district attorney. In his quest to regain his job, he resorted to some questionable tactics, going behind his brother Stefan's back to get close to Gabi. Additionally, he lost an important case due to Belle Black. However, more difficulty awaits him, as per the Days of Our Lives spoilers. He is soon going to entertain an unwelcome houseguest.

Meanwhile, the long-running NBC daily soap will continue to explore the story arcs of the residents of the fictional town of Salem. The American soap, which premiered in November 1965, currently airs on Peacock.

Days of Our Lives: What is EJ Dimera's current plight?

EJ DiMera was unable to stop Nicole Walker's exit from their marriage after she learned about his wicked move of keeping the information about her baby from her. Despite knowing Eric Brady as baby Jude's father, EJ pretended to be the baby's father to continue his relationship with Nicole. When the truth was revealed, Nicole walked out on him, taking Eric with her and relocating to Europe.

Around the same time, EJ also lost his position as legal head. After working his way back into his chair, he continued with his wicked deeds. Avenging his broken marriage due to Gabi and Stefan, EJ seduced and got intimate with Gabi, who is Stefan's wife. However, that did not give him any peace, as Stefan went missing while Gabi moved on.

In the Days of Our Lives episode that aired on December 23, 2024, EJ tried to relax and have fun before Christmas while urging Kristen to fire Belle Black. EJ harbored resentment toward Belle after losing an important case due to her actions. When Brady Black arrived to accuse Kristen of spoiling his date with Ava, EJ listened to the argument with amusement.

Later, when the doorbell rang, he answered it and looked visibly unhappy upon realizing who the visitor was. While the audience was not privy to the information, there may be a few guesses about people who may visit EJ and invite his displeasure.

Days of Our Lives: Who is likely visiting EJ?

EJ did not look happy to see his visitor and asked, what the h*ll did they want. As such, it cannot be his mother, Susan Banks. EJ is affectionate about his mother and would be happy to see her if she chooses to visit him.

Another of his relationships from the past, slated to arrive in Salem, is Sami Brady. Things did not work out between them, and EJ may not want to meet her again. While Sami may pay him a visit when she lands in town, it may induce a surprise for EJ instead of the scorn that he exhibited.

Another character from EJ's past is Arnold Feniger, who was involved in the DiMeras' story arc in 2011. Arnold is a Rafe lookalike and has previously created enough chaos in town. If the doppelganger lands at EJ's doorstep, it will create problems for him shortly.

Moreover, Arnold may be the kind of acquaintance who would force himself as a houseguest at EJ's home despite the latter's displeasure. As Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest, actor Galen Gering is slated to play Arnold beside his usual role as Rafe Hernandez in the upcoming episodes. As such, Arnold may be the guest EJ will need to cultivate.
