Days of Our Lives has been the powerhouse of drama on daytime television, entertaining audiences since it first appeared in 1965. Xander had a complicated, on-and-off relationship with Sarah, but he loved her. When she became paralyzed, he initially blamed Brady for the accident. However, Eric and Sarah later revealed that it was actually Xander's mother, Fiona, who was driving. Fiona had hidden her role in the accident and let Brady take the blame. When she tried to falsely accuse Brady, a man Xander once hated, Xander felt deeply betrayed by her actions.

Now well-equipped with the truth, Xander goes on a warpath. His protective instincts towards Sarah begin, and he now wishes Fiona to be punished for her lies and pain inflicted therefrom.

Revenge on Fiona is not in relation to Sarah's accident, but some deep emotional wounds that have finally started resurfacing. Xander feels that by not having faith in him, Fiona has not only destroyed the trust that was intact between them but also compromised the lives of the people he loves.

Of course, their relationship will be tested in the episodes that are to come, as what is to be between them will be threatened by Xander's actions. Will Xander's revenge heal the wounds Fiona's betrayal gave, or will it tear asunder everything he holds dear? Only time will tell in the dramatic world of Days of Our Lives.
